Double-length Strings

Gamut Music offers some strings as “double-length.” As it sounds, this is long enough to get two usable lengths from it. This is enough length to tie a knot in the end and still have plenty of excess string to wrap around the peg. Depending on your instrument's string length, the position of the hole in the peg, and how many revolutions you like to have around the peg, you might need to cut the string even a little shorter. However, be careful not to cut it too short, as it might slip on the peg.

If you select the knot option, the string will come with knots tied on each end. You can cut the string in the middle and install as is your practice.
